Leslie is a retired Partner at the Harter, Secrest & Emery law firm, where she practiced Environmental and Land Use Law for 27 years. She was located in HSE's Rochester, NY and Corning, NY offices.

Leslie is the Chairperson of the Trillium Health Board of Directors and the Saunders Finger Lakes Museum Board of Trustees.  She also serves on the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester's Board of Directors, and Leslie leads that Board's Governance Committee.  She is Vice Chairperson and Secretary of the Trillium Health Foundation and a ROCAA member. 

Leslie is a silent and classic movie enthusiast, and she is currently a Shift Manager at the George Eastman Museum's Dryden Theatre.

Lauren אהביה Deutsch, Esq. is an attorney, activist, and Torah scholar, living in Rochester New York with her Husband and three children. Lauren worked in migrant women’s health services prior to law school, and began her legal career representing survivors of domestic violence at The Legal Aid Society of Rochester in 2010. She has worked in reproductive justice, labor justice, and currently works in disability justice as the Executive Director of Disability Law United, a national legal services organization. 

Lauren’s research interests include bruising injuries in victims of color, effective care and services for clients living with trauma, and the impact of poverty on health equity. Lauren lectures on Jewish topics in family law, biblical literature, and Jewish philosophy, and is currently a scholar at Ohr Torah Stone’s International Halakhic Scholars program.

Leah Goldman has lived in Rochester for over 35 years. The granddaughter of Holocaust survivors and daughter of Polish immigrants, Leah was moved to co-found ROCAA after experiencing overt antisemitism in her community.

An attorney for almost 20 years, she followed her passion for supporting the Jewish community professionally and joined the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester as its Chief Planning and Programming Officer in January 2023.

Leah was previously an active community volunteer serving on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester, Board of Trustees of Temple Beth El and many committees at the Jewish Community Center. Leah is a proud graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program. In 2017, she was honored with the Jewish Federation’s 2017 Raye K. Aiole Young Leadership Award.

Sharon Gray was born in Rochester, is an alumnus of Hillel Community Day School, a graduate of Brighton High School and has lived in the Town of Brighton for the past 15 years with her husband and three daughters. Sharon is a co-founder of ROC Against Antisemitism and is currently on the Board of the Jewish Community Center. She has served on the Board of Congregation Beth Sholom and as Co-President of Brighton Rowing Club. Sharon has dedicated the past 30 years to the Jewish communities where she has lived both as a Jewish communal professional and as a volunteer to build bridges and create collaborations within the Jewish community. At this time, she is dedicated to raising awareness of antisemitism and trying to foster an understanding of the Jewish experience. Sharon currently works for Empire State Development managing grants that support job growth, innovation, workforce development and placemaking across New York State.

Rami Katz is the Chief Operating Officer for Excell Partners, Inc., managing Excell’s due-diligence and investment processes. Prior to joining Excell, Rami served as the Director of Technology Commercialization at High Tech Rochester where he worked closely with entrepreneurs, researchers and startups to evaluate the commercial potential of new technologies. Rami managed the creation of over 50 business plans that led to raising over $40M in funding from VCs, angels and grants.

Rami is an attorney that led a litigation, banking and corporate law practice in Israel, managing a legal team that directed the restructure of over $14M in corporate and asset backed debt annually, while growing the group’s revenues by over 300%.

After launching his own legal and management consulting practice in Israel, Rami was one the founding members of a seed stage investment group, investing and assuming leadership roles in seed stage, technology ventures to provide financial and business development management. The group launched 12 high-tech startups focused on advanced materials, internet technologies, consumer electronics and medical devices.

Rami earned his MBA from the University of Rochester and his law degree from the Tel-Aviv University in Israel.

Dan Kinel was born in Rochester and has lived in Brighton for almost his entire life. Dan is a graduate of Brighton High School, as is his wife and two college-age sons. Dan is a co-founder of ROC Against Antisemitism and is currently President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester. In addition to his deep involvement in the local Jewish community, Dan is also committed to patient advocacy and research relating to Parkinson’s Disease and is a co-founder and on the Board of Directors of the Rochester Parkinson’s Network. Before retiring, for almost 30 years, Dan was a Partner in the corporate and securities group of Harter Secrest & Emery, LLP, and he has served on the boards of directors of a number of other local not-for-profit organizations. For more than 10 years, Dan was also Chair of his law firm’s Diversity Committee.

Leora spent her first 18 years on Long Island, attended Yeshiva through elementary grades, and fell in love with the Finger Lakes region while attending college. She has lived in the Rochester area for the majority of her adult years, including over a decade in Brighton. Leora provided occupational therapy (OT) services in a variety of settings including Strong Memorial Hospital, Hillside Family of Agencies, preschools and families’ homes and was a Fellow in University of Rochester’s LEND program (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities). Leora served on the advisory board for the OT Department at Nazareth University and as a clinical adjunct professor. She was a community partner for a nationally recognized research study about the transition to motherhood and partners with local organizations to provide innovative programs for families.

As the granddaughter of four Holocaust survivors and the daughter of immigrants from Israel and Romania, Leora is proud to be part of team ROCAA. She serves on the Board of Directors at the Louis S. Wolk Jewish Community Center focusing on family engagement and was a Fellow in the inaugural cohort of the Jay Birnbaum Leadership Program. In October 2023, Leora joined the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester as the Director of Leadership Development.

Seth Weinstein is a Partner at Woods Oviatt Gilman LLP in the Real Estate Department. His practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions, finance, development, and management. Seth’s experience includes the representation of local, regional and national clients with matters relating to their retail, industrial, medical, multi-family, and hospitality assets. 

Seth is a former member of the Board of Trustees at Hillel Community Day School and former Chairman of the Alpha Zeta Theta Chi Alumni Corporation.
